Our Team
AMTEC Engineering Ltd offers a variety of services for residential projects. Our Team of Experienced Structural Engineers and Technologists specialize in the design and construction of residential projects (renovations, additions, underpinning, new construction, site reviews). AMTEC is capable of providing Structural Engineering services to support an Architect/BCIN Designer, and can also develop our own Architectural/Structural/Mechanical Package. All of our work is completed in-house which enables us to streamline the design process into a cost-effective project delivered on-time.

AMTEC will measure the house to create as-built drawings and prepare 'permit ready' drawings for your project. Design will include (but is not limited to) lowering the basement foundation to the desired/allowable depth, new interior layout, and all necessary interior alterations required as part of the underpinning works (i.e. new interior columns, beams. stairs, waterproofing, plumbing, etc).

Over the years, AMTEC has grown to provide custom home designs for bungalow, two-storey, garage, cottage, estate homes across Ontario. Our permit ready package will contain all architectural, structural, plumbing, and mechanical requirements for the work.

AMTEC will assess the property to determine whether or not an existing wall proposed for removal is structural. If the proposed wall is deemed to be structural, AMTEC will measure all floor plans of the house and prepare 'permit ready' drawings for your project. Our permit ready package will contain all the architectural, structural, and plumbing requirements for the work.

AMTEC will measure the house to create as-built drawings and prepare detailed architectural and structural 'permit ready' drawings for your project. If the exterior of the home is being altered, a legal property survey will be required for the package. Local zoning by-laws check is recommended to ensure that you are allowed to build the project, or a minor zoning variance may required.

AMTEC is capable of providing periodic/milestone site visits during construction to ensure compliance with the project specifications and requirements. Following the site visit, an Engineer Site Visit Report will be issued to outline a summary of our site observations, recommendations, and/or certification of the work.
